Accutest acquired the assets of the environmental laboratory operation of Maxim Technologies Houston, Texas in 1999. In 2008, Accutest acquired the assets of Southwest Environmental Laboratory (SWEL) from Southwest Water Company and the laboratory was expanded in 2009 for a total 19,000 ft2. The laboratory personnel consist of 74 professional, management, and support staff. The laboratory is certified in the majority of the Southwestern states and holds a NELAC Certificate of Accreditation.
The Baton Rouge, Louisiana Service Center, established in 2009, accommodates clients in the Gulf Coast states and provides courier services and sample shipment to the Houston, Texas Laboratory.
Southern Petroleum Laboratories, Inc (SPL) Environmental Division became part of Accutest Laboratories in December, 2010. Accutest/SPL, Houston is a full service environmental testing laboratory with 65 professional, management, and support staff operating out of a 25,000 ft2 facility.
